Customers can choose from two different engine options for the 2021 Grand Cherokee L. A 3.6-Liter V6 is standard and kicks out 290 horsepower and 257 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes paired with a rear-wheel-drive system. However, four-wheel drive is optional. A 5.7L V8 is available for the Grand Cherokee L. This engine kicks out 357 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. Four-wheel drive models come standard with Quadra-Trac I, a full-time 4x4 system, while Quadra-Trac II, and Quadra-Drive II with an electronic limited-slip rear differential are both available. All four-wheel-drive variants come with Jeep's Selec-Terrain traction management system with Rock, Sand/Mud, Snow, Auto, and Sport modes. Both engines come mated to a strong TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission.

2021 Hyundai Palisade Power & Handling

In an attempt to keep up with the Grand Cherokee L, the Hyundai Palisade comes with one engine option. Across the entire Palisade lineup is a 3.8L V6 with 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a front-wheel-drive system powered by an 8-speed automatic transmission. The Palisade is available with all-wheel drive at all trim levels, while AWD is standard on the top Calligraphy trim. Like its Jeep counterpart, AWD variants of the Palisade come with a traction management system with Sport, Comfort, Snow, Smart, and Eco modes.

Six seats are standard in the Grand Cherokee L, with two captain's chairs in the second row and a two-seat bench in the third row. In addition, customers can choose a three-person second-row bench, creating room for seven occupants. The top-level Summit Reserve offers a McIntosh Labs 19-speaker premium audio system, quilted Palermo leather seating, heated/ventilated second-row seats, a power tilt and telescoping steering wheel, genuine wood dash trim, and much more.

2021 Hyundai Palisade Features & Design

There are four trim levels available for the 2021 Hyundai Palisade. It comes standard with eight seats with a second-row bench and a third-row three-seat bench. The entry-level Palisade SE includes paddle shifters, an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, Apple/Android smartphone integration, sliding second-row seats, heated side mirrors, 18-inch alloy wheels, and LED exterior lighting. The mid-range SEL and Limited trims add features like roof rails, keyless entry/ignition, a single-pane or panoramic sunroof, 8-way power-adjustable front seats, second-row captain's chairs, dual-zone automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and more.
